Financial Services

Description

Bridge Capital Associates, Inc. (BCA) is a middle-market investment banking firm that arranges private placements of debt and equity and advises clients on mergers and acquisitions. As a registered broker/dealer with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, BCA works with clients on all types and sizes of private placements, M&A and PIPE transactions. BCA also provides other financial reporting and compliance services to companies and their boards.

Business needs

Bridge Capital Associates requires all employees and reps to secure documents, spreadsheets and other financial files, as confidential information must be protected throughout the company. Additionally, BCA facilitates many buy-side and sell-side M&A deals every year. A key component of closing those deals is the exchange of high-volume questions and answers between prospective buyers and sellers.

This process can be extremely difficult to manage using traditional approaches because all the content must be tracked and secured. According to Carrie Wisniewski, CEO and President, BCA was using traditional methods to handle the many documents, spreadsheets and PDFs in its M&A projects, resulting in paper and email trails that were difficult to manage and extended the due-diligence process.

Solution implemented

Seeking an alternative to its paper management processes, Bridge Capital Associates turned to Prot-On. In addition to cyber threat protection, Prot-On provides controlled access and document tracking that is easy to use and offers unique options for maintaining privacy and discretion. Wisniewski was attracted to the ease of the Prot-On Dashboard, as well as its workflow functionality. Prot-On is used daily at BCA and keeps its M&A processes organized and running smoothly.

“The Prot-On functionality makes my life much easier. You can quickly see where we are in the workflow, and it allows our representatives and employees to stay on top of deal progress. It’s a great tool for relieving our teams from the mundane administrative tasks so they can focus on increasing deal velocity.”
