Prot-On expands to South America
The Mobile World Congress 2013 closed its doors with a very positive valuation: 72,000 attendees, which makes a new record for the number of visitors to the Conference. Over 1,700 companies and professionals from 200 countries showed their innovations and hinted at what we could expect to see in the mobile market in the coming months.
At Prot-On, who participated this year as part of the Spanish Pavillion, we wanted to take advantage of this unique opportunity to announce the launch of our first phase of international expansion which will take us into Mexico, Colombia and Chile. Our second phase will include moving into Argentina and Peru and expanding across Europe.
Jose Rocillo, Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing, explained that that internationalization will take place through “direct sales in Mexico and indirect sales through channel partners in Colombia and Chile who have the capacity to extend to Peru and Argentina”. Rocillo points out “the intention is to take advantage of the current strength of the economy in these countries and we expect the Prot-On business from this area to match that generated in Spain by the end of 2014″.
In addition to this announcement, Prot-On presented important product innovations in their solution to facilitate how their clients protect and control documents they share on the internet. Some of the most important innovations, which will be explained in more detail in our next post , include Prot-On’s integration with corporate Active Directories/LDAPs as well as new functionality called “Protonized folders” which are dynamic folders for mass management of permissions.
We see how more and more home users and, above all, how more corporations are concerned about the security of the information they share on the Internet”, says Jose Rocillo, meaning we had a very positive experience at the Conference and had a large number of people stopping by our stand to learn more. “The user wants an easy to use solution that will allow them to protect and manage access to their documents, and that’s what Prot-On offers.“
